Levels and experience are guidelines based on topic-specific experience. All courses support foundational and advanced learning.

About:

This course provides a comprehensive review of fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) process technology, including current equipment designs, process fundamentals, catalyst technology, fluidization, heavy feed processing, and operational best practices. Participants will gain an understanding of FCC reactor and regenerator systems, process variables, catalyst performance, and recent technology advances that improve unit reliability, product yields, and refinery performance.

What You’ll learn:

Explain FCC process fundamentals, reaction chemistry, and heat and pressure balances.

Evaluate how feedstock properties, operating variables, and catalyst technology affect FCC performance.

Understand FCC equipment design, fluidization principles, and reactor/regenerator operation.

Apply current FCC technologies and operating practices to improve unit performance, product quality, and reliability.

Who Should Attend:

Fluid Catalytic Cracking Process Technology is designed for refinery process engineers, unit operations personnel, catalyst technical service professionals, and catalyst or process R&D personnel. The course is also beneficial for process engineers supporting refinery design, construction, and technical services.
