Personnel from LP modeling companies, financial and insurance firms, service and consulting companies, catalyst suppliers and government agencies will also find the program informative and very useful.

Instructor:  


James Kleiss is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in the petroleum refining industry, specializing in process engineering, project engineering, business development, crude oil and product supply, and strategic planning. He has provided senior management with critical advice on market dynamics, business development opportunities, large capital projects, and M&A activities. Notably, he has worked on significant projects such as renewable fuels, petrochemicals, and refinery fuels investments. James has successfully managed teams, regulatory compliance programs, and terminal agreements, leading to a 400% increase in renewable diesel sales to the California market. He has also developed business cases for strategic expansions, including new light crude processing, alkylation, and coking capacities. Additionally, James has provided technical support in refinery process chemicals, addressing issues like crude unit corrosion and fouling in hydrotreater preheat trains. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Oklahoma State University.
